A lot of Park visitors come during the summer and on fall season weekends, and parking at popular RMNP hiking trailheads can fill by noon. In summer consider starting your Park visit early in the day to avoid parking hassles and afternoon summer thundershowers. Take the free Park Hiker’s Shuttle Bus from the Visitor Center, or stay at one of the lodges that allow you to hike directly into the Park.
